RowPro 5 is the next generation. Built for Windows 10 and macOS, RowPro 5 has all the features you've come to expect from RowPro, plus a new-but-familiar user interface, extended online functions, and a companion myRowPro app. And it works with the Concept2 PM5. It's time to upgrade.

You'll notice the improvements right away. Every panel has been redesigned and rebuilt from scratch. Session Setup has become Set up a Row, and the Control Center has been replaced. Some major features have moved online, and yet it will all seem very familiar.

We've moved online the logbook, the training plan wizard, the advanced custom rows, and Oarbits, then integrated them all back into RowPro. The result is that those functions can be used with RowPro and the new myRowPro app, plus you can reach them from anywhere via a web browser.

There's a new myRowPro app for Android and iOS that's included in all RowPro 5 plans, and has most RowPro features. If you have a Concept2 PM5, you can even row with it! Think of it as RowPro Lite to go.

We all need a little motivation

Ok, excuse the pun, but when it comes to motivation to row, it's different strokes for different folks. Some folks want the structure of a plan, some just want to track meters, some want company, some just need distraction. Whatever you need, turns out that's the most important ingredient in your rowing.

Training plans

One of the best ways to stay motivated and get results is by having a structured training plan to follow. It can be for weight control, fitness or competition, the main thing is it needs to be tailored to you. RowPro has all the plans you need, and tailors them to you.

Tracking progress

Counting meters is the rowing equivalent of counting steps, and we all know that works. Plus there's the added bonus of seeing your physical progress - improving fitness, getting back in shape, losing weight, or even getting faster. RowPro tracks every meter for you automatically.

Sometimes all you need is to get your mind out of your training room and out onto the water. It's amazing how that simple mind-shift changes everything. RowPro's true 3D graphics display enables you to row on a virtual river with live rippling water reflecting the riverside landscape.

OK, it's a cliche, but we all know that variety is the spice of life, and that applies to rowing as well. You also get better physical results by mixing up the workouts you do. RowPro has a huge variety of workouts, more or less anything you can think of, you can row.

Rowing by yourself all the time drives a lot of people to just want to row with someone else. It could be as simple as a pace boat or a past row. For some, the magic of rowing online with others live is hugely motivating. Whatever company you want, virtual or real, RowPro has it.

With RowPro you never need to row alone. RowPro's 3D virtual river has multiple lanes, and you can fill them with a variety of virtual rowing companions, or with real live people rowing anywhere in the world. Now that's good company.

Lanes

The RowPro virtual river has 4 lanes, with you nearest the camera in Lane 4, and up to 3 other boats in Lanes 1-3. They can be any mix of smart pace boats or your own or other people's past rows, played back perfectly stroke by stroke.

Smart pace boats

Yes there are simple pace boats that go at a set pace. But how about ones that can change their pace and stroke rate up to 20 times from start to finish? If you're competitive, that means you can program your race tactics into a pace boat and then practice as many times as you want.

Past rows

Your best competitor is ... you. Choose any similar row in your logbook, and RowPro will turn it into a boat in a lane alongside you that plays back perfectly stroke by stroke. You can have up to 3 of these in Lanes 1-3, or mix & match with pace boats.

Online rowing

This is just magical. It's a completely different feeling when you know the boats in the other lanes are real people rowing with you. The virtual river has up to 16 lanes in an online row, and with the very popular text Chat before and after rows, you'll soon make great friends online.

Rowfiles

Each row in your logbook can be packaged into a stroke by stroke RowPro rowfile and exchanged with anyone else using RowPro. Ok it's not real-time, but it's a whole extra kind of company on the virtual river.

Learn to row like a pro

Good stroke technique makes you look and feel like a pro when you row, and gives you a sense of mastery that stimulates your rowing. It also feels more relaxed and less strenuous, and protects you from injuries.

By the numbers

If you row 3 x 20 minutes per week, that adds up to around 75,000 strokes per year, so good technique is the key to rowing strongly and staying injury free long-term.

3D coaching clinic

RowPro has a 3D Coaching Clinic where you watch an Oarsman perform excellent stroke technique in slow motion, and learn the key parts of the stroke from Olympic rowing coach Brian Hawthorne.

Your skilled 3D avatar

RowPro also shows you good technique while you row each stroke - just match your stroke technique with your 3D avatar onscreen while you row. The avatar is always there beside you, so you can check anytime.

Add in a mirror

After studying the coaching clinic, put your RowPro computer screen on one side and a mirror on the other side while you row, and you'll soon spot any differences and start to correct them.

Drive and recovery

Each stroke has a drive where you pull the handle, and a recovery where you slide forward for the next drive. The drive-to-recovery ratio changes at different stroke rates. The coaching clinic teaches you, and your skilled avatar shows you the right timing automatically.

Setting up rows just got easy

Any decent training plan cycles you through strength, endurance and speed workouts. Most of the workouts are easy to understand, but not always easy to set up on the Concept2 PM. RowPro solves that for you - just tap or click and RowPro sets up the row for you.

The basic rows

To do a 'Just Row', you don't need to do anything - just pull the handle and RowPro and your Concept2 PM both start rowing. The standard Concept2 Set Piece rows are almost as simple - juct click or tap the one you want and RowPro will set it up for you.

Training workouts

RowPro knows which plan workout you're due to row, and however complex it is, sets it up and moves through any intervals for you automatically while you row. It also shows exactly how far along you are via the built-in progress bar.

Custom rows

Once you've created a custom row, it's saved and listed for you to select and row whenever as you want. You just click or tap the one you want and RowPro will set it up for you and move through any intervals for you automatically.

Online rows

Click to join and online row, and you'll go into the Check-in area, where you can warm up until everyone has checked in and the starter starts the row. And while you wait you can text Chat with others there. People love it.
